Ledger Badger Privacy Policy

How Ledger Badger handles store information. Effective October 1, 2026.

Ledger Badger is a Shopify app made by Enviola Labs ("we", "us"). It reads a store's Shopify Payments payouts and the orders inside them, explains each payout, and produces a monthly summary for the merchant's accountant. This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and how it is deleted.

Information we collect

When a merchant installs Ledger Badger, we collect and store:

  • Store details: the store's myshopify.com domain, store name, time zone and currency, and the access token Shopify issues to the app. Access tokens are encrypted before they are stored.
  • Payout data: Shopify Payments payouts and the balance transactions inside them, such as amounts, fees, dates and transaction types.
  • Order amounts: for orders that appear in a payout, the financial details only: order number, dates, product totals, discounts, shipping, tax by jurisdiction, gift card amounts, refunds and how the order was paid.
  • Settings and activity: settings the merchant chooses in the app, and a log of actions such as syncs and downloads.

Information we do not collect

Ledger Badger does not request or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses. It does not change anything in the store, and it does not connect to the merchant's bank or accounting software.

How we use information

  • To explain payouts in the app and prepare the monthly close package the merchant downloads.
  • To keep payout information up to date with scheduled syncs.
  • To provide support when a merchant contacts us.

We do not sell information, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence models. We share it only with the service providers below.

Service providers

  • Shopify, which runs the store, the app platform and billing.
  • Our hosting provider, which runs the app and its database in the United States.

Retention and deletion

  • The app reads payouts from the last 60 days by default, or from a start date the merchant chooses.
  • When a store uninstalls the app, scheduled syncs stop and its access tokens are deleted immediately.
  • Shopify asks us to erase a store's data 48 hours after uninstall. At that point we delete all of the store's payout data, order amounts, settings and activity log.
  • Merchants can ask us to delete their data sooner by emailing us.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Access tokens are encrypted at rest and used only to read the information described above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
